BLOOD AND HONEY 2 Brings Tigger To The Fore

first-look image at tigger in winnie the pooh: blood and honey 2

After confirming a sequel to 2023’s Winnie the Pooh slasher horror was on the way, a new image has been released teasing the introduction of Tigger in Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey 2.

The sequel will feature the titular Winnie, Christopher Robin, Piglet, Owl, and Tigger. “Tigger is incredibly violent. He loves to torture his victims before killing them,” producer Scott Jeffrey told IGN, likely not referring to the childhood books’ version of the character we know.

Jeffrey added that the sequel has “a substantially higher budget so Rhys is really able to create a shocking, explosive and gore-filled movie. I truly think people will really dig what we are creating.”

The reason why Tigger wasn’t part of the first film, writer-director Rhys Frake-Waterfield previously explained, was that the character was not yet part of the public domain when the first film was in production. The bouncing tiger was not present in A. A. Milne’s 1926 novel, and therefore is only set to enter public domain in January of next year. The horror sequel is scheduled to release sometime in February 2024.

still from aquaman and the lost kingdom teaser trailer

The first Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom teaser trailer has finally dropped, ahead of Jason Momoa’s return to the DC Universe big screen on December 20th.

The logline of the sequel to the 2018 film promises: “Having failed to defeat Aquaman the first time, Black Manta (Yahya Abdul-Mateen II), still driven by the need to avenge his father’s death, will stop at nothing to take Aquaman down once and for all. This time Black Manta is more formidable than ever before, wielding the power of the mythic Black Trident, which unleashes an ancient and malevolent force. To defeat him, Aquaman will turn to his imprisoned brother Orm (Patrick Wilson), the former King of Atlantis, to forge an unlikely alliance. Together, they must set aside their differences in order to protect their kingdom and save Aquaman’s family, and the world, from irreversible destruction.”

Amber Heard, Nicole Kidman, Dolph Lundgren and Randall Park also reprise their roles in the sequel, directed by James Wan. The screenplay hails from David Leslie Johnson-McGoldrick, based on a story by James Wan & David Leslie Johnson-McGoldrick and Jason Momoa & Thomas Pa’a Sibbett.

After releasing a quick teaser last week, Ryan Murphy’s American Horror Story: Delicate has dropped its first, full-length official trailer ahead of the series’ Part One premiere on September 20th.
