Prepare to re-enter the Monsterverse this November as Apple TV+ unleashes the new series Monarch: Legacy of Monsters. Set over three generations, the show promises to reveal more about the nefarious organisation introduced in Legendary’s recent Godzilla and King Kong films.

The official synopsis is:

Following the thunderous battle between Godzilla and the Titans that levelled San Francisco and the shocking revelation that monsters are real, “Monarch: Legacy of Monsters” tracks two siblings following in their father’s footsteps to uncover their family’s connection to the secretive organization known as Monarch. Clues lead them into the world of monsters and ultimately down the rabbit hole to Army officer Lee Shaw (played by Kurt Russell and Wyatt Russell), taking place in the 1950s and half a century later when Monarch is threatened by what Shaw knows. The dramatic saga — spanning three generations — reveals buried secrets and the ways that epic, earth-shattering events can reverberate through our lives.

Monarch: Legacy of Monsters is co-developed and executive-produced by Chris Black (Severence) and Matt Fraction (Iron Man 2). The first two episodes are directed by Matt Shakman (WandaVision), who also serves as executive producer alongside Joby Harold and Tory Tunnell from Safehouse Pictures. Andy Goddard, Brad Van Arragon, and Andrew Colville. Hiro Matsuoka, and Takemasa Arita executive produce on behalf of Toho Co, Ltd., the owner of the Godzilla character.

The show debuts on Apple TV+ on November 17th with a double episode, then weekly until January 12th.
