After releasing a quick teaser last week, Ryan Murphy’s American Horror Story: Delicate has dropped its first, full-length official trailer ahead of the series’ Part One premiere on September 20th.
Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk’s horror anthology series, now on its twelfth season, stars series veterans Emma Roberts, Billie Lourd, Denis O’Hare, Leslie Grossman, Dominic Burgess, and Zachary Quinto, alongside Kim Kardashian, Cara Delevingne, Michaela Jaé Rodriguez, Matt Czuchry, Annabelle Dexter-Jones, Odessa A’zion, Debra Monk and Julie Monk.
American Horror Story: Delicate, which hails from showrunner Halley Feiffer, has been described as a feminist update of Rosemary’s Baby and is partly based on Danielle Valentine’s thriller novel Delicate Condition. The season follows actress Anna Victoria Alcott (Roberts) who, after multiple failed attempts at IVF, wants more than anything to start a family. As the buzz around her recent film grows, she becomes convinced that a sinister figure is going to great lengths to doom her pursuit of motherhood.
Delicate is the first season in the series’ long run to not have Murphy as showrunner, and the first to lean on source material. A thirteenth season of AHS has already been ordered.
