STAR WARS JEDI: SURVIVOR Teaser Unveiled

Teaser from Jedi: Fallen Order sequel, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor

The long-awaited sequel to the video game Jedi: Fallen Order was unveiled at Star Wars Celebration, and has been titled Star Wars Jedi: Survivor.

Though no actual gameplay was shown during the convention, Survivor was teased with a short clip of the action-adventure series following the journey of Jedi Cal Kestis. Survivor will pick up five years after the events of Fallen Order, with Cal and BD-1 racing to stay a step ahead of the Empire’s constant pursuit. As he begins to feel the weight of being one of the last remaining Jedi in the entire galaxy, Cal must learn new skills and grow his connection with the Force to ensure he isn’t captured or killed.

“Even before completing Jedi: Fallen Order, our team had a vision of how to carry the adventure for Cal, BD, and the crew into the sequel,” Stig Asmussen, game director at Respawn, stated. “For Jedi: Survivor, we are working in lockstep with Lucasfilm Games to build on the legacy of Jedi: Fallen Order. We’re leveraging advanced technology to create more dynamic Jedi combat and cinematic storytelling to expand on Cal’s story as he matures and survives during the dark times.”

The game will launch globally next year for the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.

Winnie The Pooh As A *Checks Notes* Blood-Thirsty Killer?

Piglet and Winnie in Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey

Stranger Things 4 might be dropping tomorrow, but the strangest thing is this upcoming Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey (very indie) horror slasher movie.

As you may have figured, our boy Winnie entered the public domain at the start of this year – hence this decidedly non-Disney, non-PG take on the classic childhood character. News of the project surfaced earlier this week courtesy of the folks at Dread Central, with inclusion of several first-look images at the flick which is now in post-production.

Rhys Frake-Waterfield writes and directs in his feature debut. No plot details are available as of yet aside from a very brief logline, which describes the film as a “horror retelling of the famous legend of Winnie the Pooh.” Though the word “legend” is intriguing, this really doesn’t tell us much at all.

Naturally, Piglet – though having seen him, the name seems ironic – is also partaking in the festivities, though there’s no sign of the rest of the gang. Amber Doig-Thorne, Maria Taylor, and Danielle Scott are among the cast, with Craig David Dowsett as Winnie and Chris Cordell as Piglet.

Honestly, the stills speak for themselves. Check out Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey in all its creepy glory:
