Regardless of recent speculation about delays, it’s been confirmed that Warner Brothers’ Justice League will start shooting on April 11th, which is only a few weeks after Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice hits screens.

This was confirmed to EW, with director Zack Snyder adding, “The idea that we could being to boot up a Justice League concept was a cool thing. It was a little bit of an ‘about time’ moment, and I don’t them the studio for feeling that way, because it’s a long time coming, but I do feel like it’s a little bit of a creative hurdle. It seems like an easy thing to do at first glance, the idea that, ‘Oh, we just get the rest of the superheroes in there’. But you have to establish a world where they can exist.”

Snyder’s Justice League outing will be a two-part effort featuring Ben Affleck as Batman, Henry Cavill as Superman, Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, Jason Momoa as Aquaman, Ezra Miller as The Flash, Ray Fisher as Cyborg, and even the presence of at least one Green Lantern, although no Emerald Knights have been cast just yet.

At present, Justice League Part One is set for a November 17th, 2017 release, with Justice League Part Two set for June 14th, 2019. These films, of course, are just two parts of Warner Brothers’ upcoming DC-based slate, which also features solo outings for Wonder Woman, Aquaman, The Flash, Cyborg, a Green Lantern Corps. movie, and potentially a whole lot more. A little bit closer in time, however, are Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and Suicide Squad, which arrive in March and August of this year, respectively.
