We have an exclusive look at the poster and trailer for the upcoming horror movie He’s Watching, heading to digital on October 17th.

He’s Watching is a terrifying supernatural horror from the director of Blumhouse’s Don’t Let Go.

Synopsis:
Siblings Iris and Lucas are home alone whilst their parents recover from a mysterious illness. Fending for themselves, the two kids start a video diary to document their time and the deserted world around them. However, when they start to notice unsettling footage appearing that they haven’t filmed, Lucas and Iris soon realise that they have become the victims of something far more sinister than a virus.

He’s Watching hits digital in the UK and Ireland on October 17th.

Shocks and Thrills Heading to LEGEND in October

Weekends in October will be chill-filled and action-packed as Legend unveils the October line-up of channel premieres and firm favourites.
Among the films showing for the first time on the channel on Saturdays are:

October 1st – The Devil Ship Pirates (1964), a swashbuckling Hammer classic.

October 8th – Boiling Point (1993) – Wesley Snipes and Dennis Hopper star in this mob war thriller.

October 15th – Sweeney! (1976) – the hard-hitting feature version of the much-loved TV series.

October 22nd – Vehicle 19 (2013) – getting in the wrong rental car spell trouble for a man on parole in this action thriller.

October 29th – Mother Lode (1982) – Kim Basinger stars in this action-adventure set in the wilds of British Columbia.

Cold Skin

The Vintage Vault contines to provide some classic chills every Sunday, and this month sees the channel premieres for a pair of films starring Marshall Thompson: Fiend Without a Face (1958) and First Man in Space (1958).

Elsewhere, there are channel premieres for St Agatha (2018), directed by Darren Lynn Bousman (Saw II) on Friday, October 28th and Cold Skin (2017), directed by Xavier Gens on Monday, October 31st.

The second season of Knight Rider also gets underway for more adventures with K.I.T.T. and Michael (David Hasselhoff).

Shelley Parker-Chan Wins British Fantasy Award

Shelly Parker-Chan has won The Robert Holdstock Award for Best Fantasy Novel for their work, She Who Became The Sun. The novel is an epic fantasy re-imagining of the story behind real-world historical figure, Zhu Yuanzhang, who defeated the Mongols and established the Ming Dynasty.

The Holdstock is one of many awards that forms The British Fantasy Award ceremony. Candidates are nominated by members of The British Fantasy Society, with a jury selecting the final winner.  The award ceremony was held as part of this year’s Fantasycon, the annual convention of The British Fantasy Society.

The Award itself was designed and produced by Morag Hickman.

  • Best Collection: Never Have I Ever, by Isabel Yap (Small Beer Press)
  • Best Novella: Defekt, by Nino Cipri (Tordotcom)
  • The August Derleth Award for Best Horror Novel: The Last House on Needless Street, by Catriona Ward (Viper Books)
  • The Robert Holdstock Award for Best Fantasy Novel: She Who Became the Sun, by Shelley Parker-Chan (Tor)
  • The Karl Edward Wagner Special Award: Maureen Kincaid Speller


In addition, Marie O’Regan and Paul Kane received the  Legends of FantasyCon Award for their work for keeping UK conventions running. The Legends Award is granted by the convention itself, not the BFS.
