Harrison Ford is signed! No he’s not says Mark Hamill, but Luke’s in the script! ‘I’m in EPISODE VII, for defs’, says Carrie Fisher yesterday (we’re paraphrasing); no she’s not, shout her reps a few hours later. Just what the hell is going on in regards to the old guard returning to the world of STAR WARS?! Thank the maker then that George Lucas himself has stepped in to clear the mess up: 

“We had already signed Mark and Carrie and Harrison – or we were pretty much in final stages of negotiation,” Uncle George told Bloomberg Business Week today, “so I called them to say, ‘Look, this is what’s going on.’ Maybe I’m not supposed to say that. I think they want to announce that with some big whoop-de-do, but we were negotiating with them. I won’t say whether the negotiations were successful or not.”

Damn you, Lucas! We’re back where we started.

Ok, so nothing’s official yet, but we’re sticking to what we said all those months ago when news that Hamill and Fisher were told of the new trilogy plans over lunch last summer – they’re all coming back. The paperwork might not be signed right now, but it will be very soon. And then brace yourself for a big ‘whoop-de-do’ indeed!

STAR WARS EPISODE VII is still scheduled for 2015.
