We don’t know much about the plot of Christopher Nolan’s next big sci-fi INTERSTELLAR, but we do know that it’s shaping up to have a stellar cast. The latest two recruits are David Oyelowo and David Gyasi, who will be joining (take a deep breath) Matthew McConaughey, Anne Hathaway, Jessica Chastain, Casey Affleck, Topher Grace, Michael Caine, John Lithgow, Ellen Burstyn, Mackenzie Foy, Wes Bentley, Bill Irwin, Timothee Chalamet, and Nolan’s kitchen sink. 

Oyelowo has recently been seen in RISE OF THE PLANET OF THE APES and JACK REACHER, while you might have caught Gyasi in CLOUD ATLAS or even in Nolan’s THE DARK KNIGHT RISES, in which he played the prestigious role of ‘Skinny Prisoner’. Both Davids appeared together in RED TAILS.

What we do know about INTERSTELLAR is that it follows a group of space explorers as they find themselves discovering time travel via wormholes at the edges of the galaxy. Based on the theories of physicist Kip Thorne, we can expect it to be more scientifically rigorous than your average sci-fi piece and to have all the complexity and character we’ve come to expect from Nolan.

Surely there can’t be any more cast updates, but stay tuned for when we finally find out more about the story…
