Promoting MAN OF STEEL with MTV, writer David Goyer talked about various other DC projects… such as the long-talked about JUSTICE LEAGUE film. One topic that rose its head was whether we will see Christian Bale or Joseph Gordon-Levitt appear as Batman in a JL film.

Goyer said, “The Dark Knight films do not exist in the same universe. The fact that we have Wayne Industries on the satellite, Bruce Wayne exists in this universe. Lex Luthor exists in this universe. Other meta-humans do exist in this universe, so the hope is that we’ll be able to roll into some other films.”

So, with Bale and Gordon-Levitt ruled out, that opens up the door for a new actor to take on the cape and cowl. Over the years, there have been various names linked to the role of the Caped Crusader. Regular names for the role seem to be Ryan Gosling and Armie Hammer, with Hammer reportedly even cast in the role during the last attempt at a JL film.

Whilst it’s been known for a few weeks now that a Wayne Enterprises satellite will make an appearance, Goyer also revealed that another Justice League member will be alluded to. He added, “We mentioned S.T.A.R. Labs at one point. That’s kind of a connection to Cyborg.”

With MAN OF STEEL released on Friday, currently it looks like Zack Snyder is looking to move forward with a MAN OF STEEL sequel before tackling a JUSTICE LEAGUE film.
