hc picks

As we move into March (already?!), we have some more great picks from what’s on Horror Channel….

Tuesday March 1st, 9pm – The Young Cannibals (2019)

A demon feasts on people who inadvertently eat human flesh. This fun British movie was filmed in Wales and boasts some good effects and a creature that isn’t CGI!

Thursday March 3rd, 11.05pm – Sleepwalkers (1992)

Written for the screen by Stephen King (as opposed to being adapted from a novel), this features a pair of shapeshifting energy vampires (no, not like Colin Robinson!). Directed by Mick Garris, and starring Twin Peaks’ Mädchen Amick and Alice Krige (recently seen in Netflix’s Texas Chainsaw Massacre), this is pure ‘90s schlock horror!

Friday March 4th, 9pm Highlander (1986)

An immortal Scottish swordsman with a French accent (Christopher Lambert) learns how to face his biggest foe with the help of a Spanish immortal with a Scottish accent (Sean Connery). Seriously, though, this is a classic. Directed by Russell Mulcahy (Razerback). There can be only one!

Saturday March 5th, 9pm – Prey (2019)

Logan Miller (Escape Room) stars in this film from the director of the Maniac remake, Franck Kahalfoun. A miscreant is put on an island to rehabilitate but discovers something rather threatening.

Sunday March 6th, 9pm – Wired Shut (2021)

A writer is recovering from surgery on his jaw when he receives a visit from his daughter that becomes lethal.

Tune into Horror Channel on Sky 317, Virgin 149, Freeview 69, Freesat 138.
