When it was announced that Fox had commissioned a contemporary reboot of SLEEPY HOLLOW I think it’s fair to say that many thought the show would end up in the knackers yard. I admit to being one of those nay sayers myself. But SLEEPY HOLLOW defied expectations and it turned out to be rather good, what with its labyrinthine plot concerning resurrection, the apocalypse, the Freemason’s secret war against the forces of Hell and witchcraft.

Well Fox appear to be increasingly confident about SLEEPY HOLLOW as the network has increased their second season order from thirteen episodes to fifteen, with a potential run of eighteen episodes if the audience figures remain healthy.

John Noble and Lyndie Greenwood, who both had recurring roles in the first season, have been promoted to series regulars for the new season.

It would seem that SLEEPY HOLLOW’s race hasn’t quite been run after all.

SLEEPY HOLLOW will return to Fox in the autumn. The series airs on Universal Channel in the UK.
