Carol Danvers, Kamala Khan, and Monica Rambeau keep switching places in the very first The Marvels trailer (plus, Goose makes a comeback!).

The MCU film picks up where Ms. Marvel‘s series end credits scene left off: following the investigation into a wormhole linked to the shape-shifting alien race, the Kree, Carol Danvers/Captain Marvel’s (Brie Larson) powers become entangled with those of Iman Vellani’s Kamala Khan/Ms. Marvel and Teyonah Parris’ Monica Rambeau (who you’ll remember from WandaVision), with the trio swapping places across the universe every time they use their powers. To get back control over their lives, the titular heroes will have to team up and somehow untangle their cosmic powers.

Beyond that, we get a hint of what Samuel L Jackson’s Nick Fury has been getting up to in space – though we’ll know much more come summer, with the release of Disney+ series Secret Invasion – and are introduced to Zawe Ashton’s new villain. Oh, and there’s probably an army of kittens involved, too.

Candyman‘s Nia DaCosta directs this Captain Marvel sequel, which touches down in UK cinemas on November 10th.
