Christopher Lloyd is heading to a galaxy far, far away in The Mandalorian season 3! The Back to the Future actor is on the call sheet for the series in a role that has been described as “guest-starring in nature,” The Hollywood Reporter reveals.

The Star Wars universe is only the latest in a long string of iconic sci-fi franchises that Lloyd will have been a part of. From playing time-traveling scientist Dr. Emmett Brown in the Back to the Future trilogy to Commander Kruge in Star Trek III: The Search for Spock, the veteran actor also counts genre favourites The Addams Family films and 1985’s Clue among his works.

The Disney+ Star Wars show is currently filming its third season, which does not yet have a release date. Stars Pedro Pascal, Carl Weathers and Giancarlo Esposito are all expected to return to The Mandalorian season 3, though fans will have to wait a while longer to find out what’s next for Mando and the Child.

Obi-Wan Kenobi is Lucasfilm and Disney+’s next release, which will star Ewan McGregor and is due to debut May 25th.
