Get ready to give a big Hadouken – or should be ‘How do, Ken?’ – as a Street Fighter TV series is now in development.

As per Deadline, Entertainment One is developing the show with the producers of the Street Fighter: Assassin’s Fist webseries and executive producer Joey Ansah, who was a stuntman back on 2010’s Street Fighter Legacy short.

On this news, Capcom’s Yoshinori Ono enthused, “After a long search, guided by the team behind Assassin’s Fist, we are delighted to be partnering with a company with the outstanding TV experience of Mark Gordon and eOne. They have the credentials to help us launch a faithful adaptation of Street Fighter as a major TV series.”

After several shorts, fan-made efforts, and webseries, many will be eager to see what we can get from seeing the famed Street Fighter franchise fully on the small screen as a legit TV series. And yes, this new show will indeed be largely based around the plot and characters of the iconic Street Fighter II game.

Expect more on this as it continues to develop.
