Following a special Stand Up To Cancer celebrity special last year, The Crystal Maze is returning for a full series!

Details are sketchy right now, and all we know for sure is that this will be a proper full series of this beloved favourite of yesteryear and that Richard Ayoade will be hosting. And if you ask us, Ayoade sounds like a perfect choice to follow in the shoes of Richard O’Brien (1990 – 1993), Ed Tudor-Pole (1993 – 1995) and Stephen Merchant (who hosted last year’s one-off special). Ayoade is likely best known for starring in The IT Crowd and for directing the excellent Submarine.
