Horror novelist Paul Kane, whose work includes SIGNS OF LIFE and THE AFTERBLIGHT CHRONICLES: ARROWHEAD, has signed a multi-book deal with Birmingham fright factory, Short Scary Tales Publications (SST).

SST will reprint the critically acclaimed but out of print RED, a horror fairytale that came out in 2008 and almost instantly sold out. RED will be accompanied by its sequel. The book will feature cover art from the wonderful Dave (THE SANDMAN) McKean and contain a forward from Alison Littlewood, author of A COLD SEASON. Some special extras are also planned for the reprint.

SST plan to release other works by Paul Kane, including a graphic novel adaptation of Paul’s book LUNAR, which is also being developed as a motion picture by Red Splat Pictures. Kane is a highly regarded author whose influence can be felt across the genre, with a large and notable body of work behind him. His partnership with SST promises to be very productive and interesting indeed.
