With a slew of Marvel shows gearing up to head to Disney+ later this year and into 2021, now comes word that Owen Wilson is being lined up for a role in Loki.

Via ComicBook.com, the Academy Award nominee is joining Loki in a to-be-revealed major role. Wilson joins a cast that is currently made up of Tom Hiddleston and Flowers’ Sophia Di Martino.

For what it’s worth, Marvel Studios has yet to confirm Owen Wilson’s casting, although several reputable sources are reporting the news.

Plot specifics for Loki are being kept under wraps right now, but it’s believed that the miniseries could well have some ties to Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.

Loki is due to premiere on Disney+ in early 2021.
