We’re actually really looking forward to this, the fourth entry in the MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE franchise, mainly due to the Cruise’s choice of director Brad Bird. It’ll be interesting to see how Bird adopts to live-action after a long career in animation, having directed such greats as THE IRON GIANT, THE INCREDIBLES and RATATOUILLE (he also helmed the music video for DO THE BARTMAN dontchaknow!).

Ok, so basically it’s Cruise in a hoodie, not terribly exciting, but still. Admittedly the trailer’s a lot better, check it out if you missed it the first time

Aside from Cruise, Simon Pegg and Ving Rhames will also return, and are joined by LOST’s Josh Holloway, THE DARK KNIGHT’s Tom Wilkinson, Paula Patton (of that crappy MIRRORS remake) and Hawkeye himself Jeremy Renner.

MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE GHOST PROTOCOL – if you should choose to see it – will open in Europe mid December, the States on the 21st, and Boxing Day in the UK.
