While he continues to look for a studio to back his crazily ambitious cross-media adaptation of Stephen King’s THE DARK TOWER, director Ron Howard is set to helm 364, an original superhero picture from upcoming screenwriter David Guggenheim.

So how will this tale differ from the slew of comic book movies that currently dominate our multiplexes? Well, the hero of 364 only has superpowers one day of the year. Riiiight.

It’s a unique premise, sure, but we’re not convinced it’s a particular exciting one. Hopefully Ron will be prove wrong.

Howard’s Imagine Pictures will produce the film for Universal.
