Following on from the unspectacular (read: rubbish) Teaser poster revealed yesterday, comes a most spectacular trailer for WORLD WAR Z, the new zombie flick from director Marc Forster (QUANTUM OF SOLACE) and producer/star Brad Pitt. For all the mass reports of troubles with the production, having to completely redraft Act III with new writers (first LOST’s Damon Lindelof, then THE CABIN IN THE WOODS’ Drew Goddard) amongst other things, this first trailer is ridiculously assured. Sure, some will point out the CGI zombies as being problematic (and in the full feature they very well might be), but given the insanity depicted in this short promo it looks like there was absolutely no option other than to completely eschew practical FX. Seriously, wait until you see what these undead hordes get up to. You’ve never seen anything like it.
