Interesting news for fans of DC’s foul-mouthed, carnage loving bounty hunter – the biggest bastich in the universe is heading to the big screen in his own solo adventure. But is this good news? We’re not so certain…

Deadline were the first to break the story, and according to their sources director Brad Peyton has been tasked with overseeing the project, a risky choice by DC considering his only two features so far have been the more family friendly CAT & DOGS 2, and this year’s JOURNEY 2: THE MYSTERIOUS ISLAND. The company can’t possibly be thinking of watering Keith Giffen & Roger Stifler’s character down now could they? COULD THEY?! Well, yes, given that their previous attempt at the movie saw the murderous anti-hero teaming up with a young girl to help him track down his targets. Hmmm.

Let’s hope that they honour the source material and give fans what they want. Like Scott Leberecht attempted to do in his 2002 unofficial fan short based on THE LOBO PARAMILITARY CHRISTMAS SPECIAL. But y’know, with a budget. Here it is for your viewing pleasure…
