Now that you’ve vented your frustrations and anger once more take heart Marvel fans, for it seems Hugh Jackman was listening! And from what he recently told Entertainment Weekly he’s eager to claw his way back into your hearts with The Wolverine.

Jackman, admitted that 2009′s opus was something of a disappointment, and has promised that the second feature will be more focused .

“I had something to prove, and we could have done better,” says Jackman. “Somehow the first Wolverine movie ended up looking like the fourth X-Men — just with different characters. I left unsure if we’d achieved our goal, which was to make sure people understood my character.”

“This movie will really get to his core,” Jackman adds. “Fingers crossed that we’ve done it this time. I’m pretty confident we have.”

Well there’s no Taylor Kitsch so it’s better already!

THE WOLVERINE will slice his way into UK cinemas July 25.
