Despite MAN OF STEEL not officially released until Friday, Deadline is reporting that Warner Bros. are already pushing ahead with a sequel. Director Zack Snyder and screenwriter David Goyer are apparently returning, although producer Christopher Nolan is not on board at this time.

Snyder has previously made it known that his plan all along was to move forward with a MAN OF STEEL sequel rather than the long-planned JUSTICE LEAGUE movie, so it appears that the WB are listening to their director.

Released on Friday, MAN OF STEEL features Henry Cavill, Amy Adams, Michael Shannon, Kevin Costner, Diane Lane, Laurence Fishburne, Anje Traue, Ayelet Zurer, Christopher Meloni, Russell Crowe, Michael Kelly, Harry Lennix and Richard Schiff.
