Who’s up for some news on Marc Webb’s sequel to THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN! Wait, where’d everybody go? This one will be better, honest! It won’t just be a lazy retread of Raimi’s Spidey flicks, Webb has loads up his sleeve, like… erm… that stuff about Peter’s parents! That was interesting, right? Ok, maybe not. Oh… erm… what if we were to tell you that fan-favourite Mary Jane was about to be introduced! She was in all three previous flicks? Oh. Ok, we regret bringing it up. Here’s Dunst’s replacement according to Variety:

That there is actress Shailene Woodley, who garnered quite a bit of acclaim last year for Alexander Payne’s Oscar-botherer THE DESCENDANTS, and has starred in something called THE SECRET LIFE OF AN AMERICAN TEENAGER for the last four years. What do you mean you’re still not interested?!

How about if we told you Variety also reports that Electro and Harry Osborn might be in the mix!
