Following in the footsteps of Annie Lennox, Enya and Emiliana Torrini, New Zealand recording artist Neil Finn has been chosen by Peter Jackson to provide the closing credits theme song to his latest Middle-earth opus. But you don’t have to wait until December 14th to hear it, as the Rolling Stone website has just released the full track on their site. Even better, that means that you can now make a quick dash for the exits as soon as the screen fades black without missing anything – after sitting through a 2hr and 40 minute movie (plus adds and trailers) your Fanta-filled bladder will thank you.

Click HERE to listen. It’s good! (Though I hope I’m not alone in asking: “Who the hell is Neil Finn?!”)

THE HOBBIT: AN UNEXPECTED JOURNEY is released December 14th 2012; THE DESOLATION OF SMAUG December 13th 2013; and THERE AND BACK AGAIN on July 18th 2014.
