In a recent interview with ComicBook.com, director Marc Webb was asked about which villain he’d like to see appear in THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN 3. Whilst a little undecided, it appears that the director has a particular favourite.

Webb responded, “Kraven. I like the idea of Kraven. The Vulture. Ock. I always thought the idea of Mysterio was interesting. Maybe Scorpion. But really, Kraven I think is kind of interesting.”

Rumours of Kraven’s possible involvement in one of Sony’s upcoming Spidey movies have regularly appeared over the last year or so. Adding further to these rumours, using the ‘Shazam’ app during THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN 2’s end credits reveals six images that tease the cinematic Sinister Six. One of said images alludes to Kraven the Hunter.

With Webb already confirmed to direct THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN 3, whether he gets to use Kraven in the movie remains to be seen. And if a successful adaptation of the KRAVEN’S LAST HUNT comic book arc was to make it to the big screen, maybe some of the sins of THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN 2 could be forgiven.
