With this morning brining some more concrete news on Syfy’s KRYPTON, now comes an update on another planned DC-based television project, TITANS.

When asked on Twitter to give an update on the Teen Titans live action show, DC’s Geoff Johns said, “We shoot the pilot next year. Long time coming to get Nightwing to live action…!”

Very little has been said on the project since it was first announced back in September, although at that time it was said that Dick Grayson would be at the centre of the team and is someone “who emerges from the shadow of Batman to become Nightwing, leader of a fearless band of new superheroes including Starfire, Raven and many others.”

TNT is developing the series, with Akiva Goldsman and Marc Haimes on scripting duties. If TITANS makes its to a full series, it will join ARROW, THE FLASH, GOTHAM and CONSTANTINE as DC-based shows on TV, with SUPERGIRL and KRYPTON also currently in development.
