In some pretty major news for fans of The CW’s DC world, it’s been revealed that Talia al Ghul will be joining the world of the Green Arrow, Flash and Co. shortly.

The CW and DC Entertainment have announced that Continuum and V’s Lexa Doig has landed the role of Talia al Ghul, with the character debuting in the tenth episode of Arrow’s current fifth season. Described as “worldy and cultured, and an elite warrior who doesn’t pick sides but rather creates her own,” Talia is confirmed to appear in multiple episodes. We’ve previously seen a young Talia during one of DC’s Legends of Tomorrow’s timey-wimey adventures, but now we’ll be getting a “proper” version of the daughter of Ra’s al Ghul. Of course, Ra’s, as played by the excellent Matt Nable, was the ‘big bad’ of Arrow’s third season, and he also popped up the aforementioned Legends outing. Arrow has additionally featured Katrina Law as Nyssa al Ghul many times over the past few years.

Talia is the more famous daughter of Ra’s al Ghul, with the comic book take on the character having a longstanding affection for her “beloved”, Batman. In fact, the pair are the parents of the fantastic Damian Wayne.
