All of us here at STARBURST are huge fans of this year’s KINGSMAN: THE SECRET SERVICE, and so it’s welcome news to hear that a sequel could be on the way.
There’s no official word on a follow-up at this point, but The Wrap is reporting that 20th Century Fox is making plans for a KINGSMAN sequel. If this does indeed come to be, it’ll be interesting to see what role director Matthew Vaughn plays, for he is likely to be tied up helming the FLASH GORDON redo.
Based on 2012’s THE SECRET SERVICE mini-series from Mark Miller and Dave Gibbons, Vaughn’s film grossed a global $401 million during its cinematic run earlier this year. The film is set to hit DVD and Blu-ray in the UK on June 8th.
Expect more on a potential sequel as it develops.
