With Batman v Superman now officially in the books, Warner Brothers’ Justice League Part One is currently shooting ahead of its release next year. Whilst we know of the many heroes who will be a part of the film, it looks as if Jesse Eisenberg’s Lex Luthor may well be a part of the ensemble as well.

Speaking at the recent MCM Comic Con on whether he’s returning for the first part of Zack Snyder’s two-picture Justice League adventure, Eisenberg said, “They just started filming Justice League so I’m kind of waiting for my crack at it… I think so, and I love it and I love everybody, it’s a really talented group of people obviously, so I certainly hope to be in it.”

Whilst this is far from confirmation of Eisenberg’s involvement in Justice League, it does suggest that he may well be a part of the next installment in Warner Brothers’ DC Cinematic Universe.

One person who definitely will be a part of the film is Jeremy Irons’ Alfred Pennyworth. Refreshingly, Irons recently talked openly to Event about Batman v Superman and how Justice League will hopefully be a far more simpler effort that this year’s Dawn of Justice. On BvS’ mixed reaction, Irons said, “Deservedly so. I mean it took £800 million, so the kicking didn’t matter, but it was sort of overstuffed… It was very muddled. I think the next one will be simpler. The script is certainly a lot smaller, it’s more linear.”

Justice League will see the coming together of Ben Affleck’s Batman, Henry Cavill’s Superman, Gal Gadot’s Wonder Woman, Ezra Miller’s Flash, Jason Momoa’s Aquaman, and Ray Fisher’s Cyborg. Also on board are Amber Heard as Aquaman’s other half, Mera, J.K. Simmons as Jim Gordon, and an unknown role for Willem Dafoe.

Justice League Part One is currently set for a November 2017 release.
