GRIMM UP NORTH will be celebrating the tenth anniversary of Joss Whedon’s SERENITY with a special May 12th screening at Manchester’s Odeon Printworks cinema.

A feature version of the popular but cut-short series FIREFLY, the film follows Captain Mal Reynolds (Nathan Fillion) and crew of the spaceship Serenity; Grimm’s synopsis:

Continuing from the events of ‘Firefly’ the much loved, critically acclaimed and criminally cancelled before it’s time TV show; with Serenity, Whedon takes us back to Mal Reynolds (Nathan Fillion) and his crew of the Serenity,  group of rebels who travel the outskirts of space, outside the reach of the Alliance, a sinister regime that controls most of the universe. After the crew takes in Simon (Sean Maher) and his psychic sister, River (Summer Glau), whom he has just rescued from Alliance forces, they find themselves being pursued by the Operative (Chiwetel Ejiofor), an Alliance agent who will stop at nothing to find them.

Also starring genre veterans Alan Tudyk, Jewel Staite, Adam Baldwin and Summer Glau among others, this is a rare chance to catch the film on the big screen.

In keeping with their recent events, GRIMM have released an awesome poster for the screening by Mute-Art.

Tickets are available now, with two price levels £7.50 for standard seating, and £15 for Gallery tickets (which include unlimited food and soft drinks).

Doors open 7pm with the film beginning at 7.30pm on May 12th.
