The annual Film4 FrightFest Halloween event line-up has been announced.

Taking place at the Prince Charles Cinema in Leicester Square, London on October 24th, this year’s Shockathon promises to be just as thrilling and horrific as ever.

Opening proceedings at 11am is a surprise movie, with hints that it’s a ‘sci-fi cocktail of weird creatures, crude humour and hilarious action’, which is followed by The Vatican Tapes, from Mark Neveldine, director of Crank, and the world premiere of ghost story The Unspoken.

Actors James Purefoy (The Following) and Olga Kurylenko (Quantum of Solace) will be in attendance for the UK premiere of Momentum and director Nick Gillespie and key cast members from Belly of the Bulldog will also be on hand to introduce the world premiere.

The evening concludes with the European premiere of the latest entry in the ever-controversial series, I Spit on Your Grave III: Vengeance is Mine.

Festival co-director Alan Jones said, “Enough with the after dark jitters, caffeine fixes and trying to stay awake through the last movie. FrightFest is always ahead of the curve when it comes to redefining event experiences so here’s our latest innovation. All before midnight you’ll delight in fright with six of the must-see movies of the moment. Carefully selected by the FrightFest team of experts to show exactly where the genre is right now, these six nightmares before Christmas are tales of Halloween you just have to witness

Full day passes for the event are on sale from Saturday October 3rd from here, priced £45. They can also be purchased from the venue box office in person or via 0207 494 3654.
