Susan Gordon, daughter of filmmaker Bert I. Gordon (Mr. B.I.G.), passed away recently due to complications of cancer at the age of 62.
For every boy growing up, Susan Gordon was the epitome of a girlfriend we all wanted. Smart, sassy and a gal who could handle herself in any situation, she could have been the archetype for Marion Ravenwood from Raiders of the Lost Ark as a child.
Susan always had a lot of fan mail to answer and a lot of marriage proposals from ten year old boys with huge crushes on her. I know, because I was one of them.
An incredibly talented child actress, Susan appeared in four of her father’s films Tormented, Attack of the Puppet People, Picture Mommy Dead and my personal favorite The Boy and the Pirates, as well as The Man In the Hat with Alan Ladd and The Five Pennies with Danny Kaye.
With a long list of television credits, that included The Alfred Hitchcock Hour, My Three Sons, Ben Casey and her stand out performance as Jenny, an interplanetary Princess hiding out on Earth in the guise of a child in The Twilight Zone episode The Fugitive.

Having met her at an autograph show several years ago, she blossomed into a beautiful, warm and loving woman who still retained her happy smile and was very gracious towards her fans, taking time for each and every one.
Sleep well little, Princess Jenny. You will always be remembered in our hearts.
