In a slightly ‘out of leftfield’ news story, NBC and DC Entertainment are getting together to develop a live-action comedy show set in the DC Universe.

Deadline is reporting the news, with this new series to be titled Powerless and focus on the regular people who just so happen to live in the DC realm. A to Z’s Ben Queen will be executive producing the 30-minute episodes.

On what to expect from the show, it’s currently being described as “a workplace comedy set at one of the worst insurance companies in America” and that the series will focus on “the reality of working life for normal, powerless people in a world of superheroes and villains.”

Additionally, it’s not clear if any particular heroes or villains will make an appearance at all, but any of the big hitters has been ruled out already, meaning don’t be expecting to see a Dark Knight or Caped Crusader show up.

Expect to hear more on Powerless as it develops.
