In a world where barely a week goes by that we don’t hear about another comic book adaptation in development, we now have word that Vertigo’s Survivors’ Club is heading to the small screen.

Courtesy of Deadline, The CW is developing a show based on Lauren Beukes, Dale Halvorsen, and Ryan Kelly’s horror tale. Jared Frieder is developing the adap, and he’ll also be serving as an executive producer along with Len Goldstein.

To give you an idea of what to expect from the show, the synopsis for the first book in the Survivors’ Club run reads:

One was possessed by a poltergeist. Another was trapped in a haunted house. A third had a killer doll. Ever wonder what happened to these children of the 1980s? Find out in Survivors’ Club.

Survivors’ Club won’t be the first time that The CW has adapted a Vertigo title, with iZombie now in the midst of its fifth and final season. Elsewhere, there have also been small-screen adaptations of Lucifer and Preacher.

Expect more on Survivors’ Club as it continues to develop.
