CBR is reporting that BEASTMASTER’s Marc Singer has joined the ever-expanding roster of The CW’s ARROW. Singer will be playing General Matthew Shrieve, better known in the DC comic book world as the leader of the Creatures Commandos. Considering that group consists of the likes of a werewolf, a vampire, a gorgon, and Frankenstein’s monster, it’ll be interesting to see how the character is portrayed in ARROW.

The official character description for Shrieve reads:

“In the DC Comics, Matthew Shrieve is the leader of a group known as the Creature Commandos. In ARROW he will play a significant role in the latter portion of the season’s flashback storyline.”

Of course, the flashbacks for the current season of ARROW take place in Hong Kong, so we’ll have to wait and see how Shrieve’s arc ties in with that of the younger Oliver Queen.

Singer’s Matthew Shrieve will make his debut in Episode 14 of this current season, and it’s believed that the gig will be a recurring role.
