The episodic film structure works wonders in a horror context, with many genre greats employing the method of interconnected shorts to chilling (and often comical) effect, from THE HOUSE THAT DRIPPED BLOOD to lesser TALES FROM THE DARKSIDE: THE MOVIE. Indeed, there’s something primal about short, sporadic bursts of horror to get the blood pumping.

ScreenDaily have reported that upcoming horror flick ITS WALLS WERE BLOOD will combine four interlocking stories, following the history of a haunted house. Steve Oram (one-half of the duo behind SIGHTSEERS), Edward Hogg (ANONYMOUS) and the perpetually busy Pollyanna McIntosh (WHITE SETTLERS) are among the cast attached.

Each of the four sections will, unsurprisingly, be penned by different writers, including Sean Hogan (THE DEVIL’S BUSINESS), Paul Hyett (THE SEASONING HOUSE), Tom Shankland (THE CHILDREN) and Paul Davis (HIM INDOORS/THE BODY) who is also executive producing.

More news when we get it, but we hope this hawks back more to the Amicus style of film rather than V/H/S.
