Another week, another remake. Only this time, it’s the second time that this particular film has been remade. Yes, as the title of this post says, The Fly is getting yet another remake.

As per Deadline, there’s another take on The Fly on the way. Whilst the property itself is best known for David Cronenberg’s Jeff Goldblum-headlined 1986 movie, before that was Kurt Neumann’s David Hedison-starring 1958 movie of the same name.

For this new incarnation of an old favourite, Sleight’s J.D. Dillard is currently in talks with 20th Century Fox to direct. The current plan would be for Dillard to co-write the screenplay with Alex Theurer.

No particular specifics are known at this early stage, although it’s pretty safe to assume that the central premise of the film will focus on a man who painfully begins to transform into a man/fly hybrid following a doomed experiment.

Expect more on this as it develops.
