Alexandra Daddario and John Cho are starring in the upcoming horror-thriller film Inground, which is being produced by Scott Free Productions. Aaron Katz, best known for Gemini, will direct from a screenplay by American Horror Story scribe Dan Dworkin.

In the film, “A recently divorced father attempts to reconnect with his young son by building a swimming pool in his backyard that they can both enjoy over the course of a long, hot summer… but what begins as an exciting project turns into a terrifying nightmare.”

Deadline, which broke the news of Daddario and Cho’s casting, describes Inground as a “hot genre package” at the upcoming Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) market.

Cho is best known for starring in Star Trek, as well as the hit screenlife thriller Searching, while Daddario is known for the series Mayfair Witches and for recently starring in The White Lotus.

Ridley Scott, Michael Pruss, and Sam Roston will produce for Scott Free Productions. Joshua Harris and Nathan Klingher will produce for Gramercy Park, which is financing. Michael Rothstein, Samuel Hall, and Warren Goz are executive producing for north.five.six., alongside Mark Fasano and Ford Corbett for Gramercy Park Media.

Production on Inground is expected to begin in March 2026.
