Having been in development for a little while now, Hellfire, the upcoming X-Men TV series from FOX, is in need of a new creative team.

It’s been officially announced that the team that was working on the project, Evan Katz, Manny Coto, Patrick McKay and JD Payne, have all left Hellfire in order to focus on the network’s revival of 24, currently titled 24: Legacy. It’s believed that a new creative team will be announced shortly.

Hellfire will centre on a special agent who ends up getting embroiled with The Hellfire Club, a villainous group of millionaires with plans on taking over the world. The group themselves have been around in the comic book world for decades now, and they’ve also been seen as the main antagonists of Matthew Vaughn’s X-Men: First Class.

FOX’s Hellfire is one of two X-Men-based TV series on the way, with FX also working on Legion, a show focussed on David Haller, the comic book son of Charles Xavier.

At present, Hellfire is planned for a small screen debut at some point next year.
