With Tim Burton and Michael Keaton having previously talked of their plans for Beetlejuice 2, Winona Ryder has now also confirmed that she’ll be a part of the long-awaited sequel.

Speaking on Late Night with Seth Meyers, the actress revealed, “I think I can confirm it because Tim Burton did this interview. It was very hush-hush, top secret, ‘I don’t what may happen, I don’t know,’ and then he was doing some press for Big Eyes and he did an on-camera interview and he said, ‘Oh yeah, we’re doing it and Winona’s gonna be in it.’ So can I say…? I mean if he said it. But I really don’t know much more than anybody else.”

At this stage, a script is being put together for the Beetlejuice sequel by Seth Grahame-Smith and David Katzenberg.

Up next for Tim Burton is Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children, with it believed that Beetlejuice 2 may follow that.
