One of the most hotly-anticipated new shows amongst many a genre fan is HBO’s Westworld redo, and now we know when we can expect the show to arrive on our screens.

At their TCA panel, the network revealed that Westworld will premiere on October 2nd, which follows on from recent reports that the series would debut at some point in October. There’s no confirmation of when UK audiences will get the show just yet, but a UK debut is expected to hopefully follow shortly after the series makes its US bow.

The official blurb on this redo reads:

The one-hour drama series Westworld is a dark odyssey about the dawn of artificial consciousness and the evolution of sin. Set at the intersection of the near future and the reimagined past, it explores a world in which every human appetite, no matter how noble or depraved, can be indulged.

Having put together quite the impressive ensemble, the show will star Ed Harris, Anthony Hopkins, Evan Rachel Wood, James Marsden, Thandie Newton, Tessa Thompson, Jeffrey Wright, Rodrigo Santoro and Luke Hemsworth.

Jonathan Nolan serves as writer, director and executive producer on Westworld.
