In something that was pretty much taken as a given, but now it’s been confirmed: Paul Bettany’s Vision is a part of next year’s Avengers: Infinity War.

This confirmation comes after Bettany was snapped on the film’s set during a stint shooting in Edinburgh. It was expected that Vision would be involved in the movie in a major way, and so seeing him on set isn’t exactly a major breaking story, but it is good to see he’s definitely involved.

As for the Vision character, his creation in Avengers: Age of Ultron came as a result of the Mind Stone, meaning that he’ll certainly be on the radar of Thanos as the Mad Titan looks to unleash his Infinity Gauntlet.

Filming on Avengers: Infinity War has been going on for two months now, having commenced on January 23rd. To be directed by Anthony and Joe Russo, the next gathering of Earth’s Mightiest Heroes is set for a May 4th, 2018 release.
