Created as a tribute to Dark Souls by Bust creator Dave Cook, Vessels is described as Game of Thrones meets Inception.

Set in the dying medieval realm of Cairnthala, the land has become ravaged by a destructive deity referred to somewhat practically as the Eye-God, a gigantic eyeball hovering in the sky that can wipe out entire human settlements in moments after they come under its lethal gaze.

Mysterious drifter Wake is mercilessly hounded by the entity due to some deep connection to it. As it follows her everywhere she goes she sleeps rough and lives entirely outside of civilisation to keep people safe from its quite literal death stare, the strain and isolation of her existence taking its toll on her.

After being captured by slavers and taken to Cairnthala’s capital of Stratum, she begins to formulate a plan of escape and save the city’s millions of inhabitants from certain death should the Eye-God reach it.

Soon afterwards she meets Marillon, a crafty thief, and G’Dala, a Mind Keeper, one with the ability to enter the realm of dreams and see the future, and the three embark on a pilgrimage to slay the Eye-God and prevent the destruction of the world.

Standing in the way of the trio are the Vessels, a band of five powerful knights, each the personification of a human sense and with abilities linked to it. The warriors will stop at nothing to kill Wake and protect their ancient lord.

Issue #1 of Vessels will be released in July from Card Shark Comics.
