With Stephen Amell recently added to TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES 2 as Casey Jones, now comes word that the film has also added Tyler Perry. Variety is reporting that Perry will be playing Baxter Stockman, a long-standing character in the TMNT universe, and one who just so happens to invent the Turtle-hunting Mousers.

The character of Stockman debuted back in the original Mirage TMNT comics and has surfaced in several of the animated series that have adorned screens over the years. Perry joins a cast that currently includes Amell, Megan Fox and William Fichtner, with the return of other names from the first film still to be confirmed.

To be directed by David Green, TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES 2 is currently set for a June 3rd, 2016 release.
