Following the broadcast during this year’s BBC Children in Need telethon of the official trailer from the forthcoming, much-anticipated Doctor Who Christmas special, the BBC have now released a handful of new promotional images from the episode which we now know is titled ’The Snowmen’. The images show the Doctor (Matt Smith) and his new companion Clara (Jenna-Louise Coleman), guest star Richard E Grant and the Doctor’s returning chums Madama Vastra, Jenny and Strax the Sontaran. No pics of the hilariously-silly looking (but oddly threatening) killer Snowmen but then you can’t have everything…

Doctor Who: The Snowmen is expected to broadcast on Christmas evening on BBC1 in the UK and on BBC America in the USA.
