Still gutted that the big-screen HALO movie never got off the ground? Well this should more than make up for it – at today’s Xbox event Microsoft have announced that a live-action TV series is to go into production under the watchful eye of none other than Steven Spielberg himself. Given that Peter Jackson was once attached to the proposed feature length version, and the fact that he’s tight with Steve, could we be seeing other big names behind the camera too? Highly likely.

There’s no further details as yet, but expect lots more announcements (and hopefully a new title) to hit shortly…

Oh, and since a good portion of you reading this are gamers, meet your new Xbox – the Xbox One…
