Boy do we hope this rumour turns out to be true! JoBlo is reporting that they’ve got the skinny on which new characters Bay will be utilizing for the fourth entry in the series, and there’s a few names which will please old school fans of the franchise indeed. According to their insiders, Grimlock and the Dinobot gang will be making their live action debut (for anybody who’s unfamiliar, they’re Transformers who turn into dinosaurs; yes, really!), after Optimus Prime & Bumblebee (they’re back!) happen across them when they’re taken captive by the Cybertronian bounty hunter, Lockdown (also making his bow). 

In addition, it’s rumoured the story will incorporate another fan-favourite in the form of Galvatron. Since Galvatron is a rebooted Megatron, this would mean that there’s no need for Hugo Weaving to have lower himself for a fourth time. Could this pave the way for Leonard Nimoy to reprise his voice role from 1984’s TRANSFORMERS: THE MOVIE?

Michael Bay’s TRANSFORMERS 4 stars Mark Wahlberg, Nicola Peltz, Jack Reynor, Kelsey Grammer, Stanley Tucci, Li Bingbing and Sophia Myles, and will hit cinemas June 27th 2014.
