In a stark contrast to today’s excellent new trailer for their second season of GAME OF THRONES, HBO’s new teaser for their other smash hit TRUE BLOOD is one of those frustrating affairs which might as well not exist.

No new footage, no new information (it merely hints at what we’d already figured out in the final moments of season 4’s end), just words on a screen with a bit of music chucked over the top.

Now we’ve suitably prepared you for disappointment (though season 4 would have taken care of that already, surely!) take a look for yourselves and see what you think…

At least the return of a certain someone promises to shake a few things up a bit.

TRUE BLOOD Season 5 debuts later this summer. Let’s hope they manage to ease back on having so many plot threads this year, and instead focus on just a few that actually carry dramatic weight.
