DOCTOR WHO fans watching CHILDREN IN NEED on the BBC tonight are in for two treats. First Steven Moffat has penned a prequel to the Christmas Special that will, we are told, feature a number of familiar faces; second there is a new trailer for the Christmas Special featuring the Doctor and his new companion.

For overseas fans these will both be available on the BBC Doctor Who website shortly afterwards.
